Useful Tips
The best source for help is the “Frequently asked questions” section from the start page of the tool you are creating. Just click on what you want to create, flash cards, quiz show, etc., the “Frequently asked questions” will be towards the bottom of the page. At the bottom of the “frequently asked questions” page, is the email contact for additional help. [email protected]
If you have problems seeing you image-make sure the “I” in image is capitalized.
If you can not see your changes on the quiz show after populating the spreadsheet try refreshing.
For Math Equations:
Go to “Add ons” on the spreadsheet menu bar and search for equation editor (the general search name) or g(math)for sheets, which is what was tried during our session. This will will require some self study, but here is what I know. ONce you have the add on , create the equation/expression. Before you insert the expression, it is important to increase the pixels to 500 so when it is applied to the actual quiz show it will be a clear image (this is because it will be much larger on the quiz show than where it is created on g(math).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you insert your image, you will need to do the following to have it actually work:
Delete anything before the word Image (when the image is populated from the math app it will have something that looks like a URL, but will have characters that precede the word “Image”delete all of these characters. Also, delete any “ ” quotation marks and any parenthesis ( ). Then follow the original image protocol.
Example:
The g(math) image link:
s!Image:” (kmdjkj79j,mkeil;kj”) (This is totally made up so don’t try it on spreadsheet)
How the link would need to be modified to work in the program
[[Image:kmdjkj79j,mkeil;kj]]
